Seeking to promote the heritage of camel racing in Saudi Arabia and in the Arab and Islamic cultures to support tourism and economic development in the Kingdom, The Crown Prince Camel Festival launched in its third edition in Taif Camel Square.
The past 2 editions of the festival have witnessed great successes and have been a qualitative leap in the sport of camel racing.
This event contributed to making the Kingdom as the number one destination in the world for camel sports.
The main aim of this initiative is to support the tourism and economic movement in KSA, in a way that enhances community participation, the national heritage, and reflects the cultural depth of the Kingdom.
The 3rd edition of the festival set a new Guinness World Record, with the largest number of camels participating in a camel festival in the world. It broke the previous records set during the first and second editions of the festival, as 14,843 camels participated in this year’s competitions.
